Ingredients

  • 200g milk chocolate, or dark chocolate, broken
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 tablespoon Kahlua, or other liqueur of choice
  • 300ml carton thickened cream
  • Whipped cream, extra, to serve
  • Chocolate, grated, to serve

Method

  • Step 1 Place chocolate in a heat-resistant bowl over a saucepan of gently simmering water. Stir for 2-3 mins until melted. Remove from heat.
  • Step 2 Blend in combined egg-yolks and Kahlua. Cool slightly.
  • Step 3 In a large bowl, whip cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold cream through chocolate mixture.
  • Step 4 In a clean, dry bowl, beat egg-whites until soft peaks form.
  • Step 5 Lightly fold egg-whites into chocolate mixture until well combined. Spoon into 4-6 individual or one large serving dish. Cover and chill overnight until firm. Serve with extra cream and grated chocolate.
