Ingredients

  • 1 bunch choy sum
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) Massel chicken style liquid stock
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon dry sherry
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • Steamed SunRice White Medium Grain Rice, to serve

Method

  • Step 1 Cut thick stalks from choy sum. Reserve. Cut remaining choy sum in half crossways.
  • Step 2 Bring a saucepan of water to the boil over high heat. Add peanut oil. Cook reserved stalks for 3 minutes or until bright green and tender crisp. Add the remaining choy sum and cook for a further 1 minute or until the leaves just wilt. Drain.
  • Step 3 Meanwhile, combine the stock, oyster sauce and sherry in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to the boil. Simmer for 1 minute or until the mixture reduces slightly.
  • Step 4 Place the choy sum on a serving platter. Drizzle with the oyster sauce mixture and sesame oil. Serve with rice.
