Ingredients

  • 180g (2 cups) whole rolled oats
  • 75g (1/2 cup) plain flour
  • 60g (1/2 cup) chopped walnuts
  • 8 fresh dates, pitted, cut into 1cm pieces
  • 1 egg
  • 100g butter, melted, cooled
  • 80ml (1/3 cup) Capilano Light & Smooth Honey

Method

  • Step 1 Preheat oven to 180°C. Line 2 large baking trays with non-stick baking paper. Combine the oats, flour, walnuts and dates in a large bowl.
  • Step 2 Lightly whisk egg in a small bowl. Whisk in the butter and honey.
  • Step 3 Add the honey mixture to the oat mixture. Mix until well combined. Place heaped tablespoonfuls of the mixture on the lined trays and flatten slightly.
  • Step 4 Bake for 12 minutes or until light golden. Set aside on the trays for 5 minutes to cool before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
