Ingredients

  • 400g spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon Coles pure olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 690g jar Coles pasta sauce authentic Italian passata
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, plus extra to serve
  • 2 x 420g packets Coles butcher beef meatballs
  • Parmesan, grated

Method

  • Step 1 Cook spaghetti in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to packet directions. Drain.
  • Step 2 Meanwhile, heat oil in a large saucepan on medium. Cook onion for 5 mins, or until soft. Add garlic and cook for 1 min, or until fragrant. Add sauce, 1/2 cup of water and basil, and simmer for 5 mins. Add meatballs, cover and simmer for 15 mins or until meatballs are cooked.
  • Step 3 Combine pasta, meatballs and sauce in a bowl. Top with extra basil leaves and parmesan, to serve.
