Ingredients

  • 250g thin green beans, tops trimmed
  • 300ml thickened cream
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves
  • 400g canned cannellini beans, rinsed, drained
  • 400g canned butter beans, rinsed, drained
  • 400g canned small broad beans, rinsed, drained (or 250g shelled fresh or frozen broad beans)

Method

  • Step 1 Blanch the green beans in a saucepan of boiling water for 1-2 minutes. Drain, refresh in cold water and drain again.
  • Step 2 Bring the cream to the boil in a saucepan, then reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 10 minutes or until the cream has reduced by half. Add the garlic and rosemary, then the cannellini, butter and broad beans. Cook over low heat, stirring, until the beans are heated through, then stir in the green beans and serve.
