Ingredients

  • 1 Coles Sweet Brioche loaf, cut into 8 slices
  • 1/3 cup (110g) Coles Smooth Hazelnut Spread
  • 250g punnet strawberries, thickly sliced
  • 2 Coles Australian Free Range Eggs
  • 1/3 cup (80ml) milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 40g butter, chopped
  • Dollop cream, to serve
  • Strawberries, extra, to serve

Method

  • Step 1 Place half the brioche on a clean work surface. Spread with the hazelnut spread. Top with the strawberry. Sandwich with remaining brioche slices.
  • Step 2 Whisk the eggs, milk and mixed spice in a medium bowl.
  • Step 3 Melt half the butter in a large frying pan over medium heat. Dip 2 of the sandwiches in the egg mixture, turning to coat both sides. Transfer to the pan and cook for 2 mins each side or until golden. Transfer to serving plates. Wipe the pan clean. Repeat with the remaining butter, sandwiches and egg mixture.
  • Step 4 Serve the French toast sandwiches with cream and extra strawberries.
