Ingredients

  • 2 x 290g packets dark choc melts
  • 500g packet assorted creams biscuits
  • 5 banana lollies
  • 4 BB’s cookies and cream balls, halved
  • 9 Raffaello, halved
  • 12 bow tie lollies
  • 52 eye ball lollies

Method

  • Step 1 Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper. Reserve 10 melts. Place 1/2 the remaining melts in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%), stirring with a metal spoon halfway through, for 1 minute or until melted and smooth.
  • Step 2 One at a time, dip one side of the biscuits in chocolate to coat, allowing excess chocolate to drain off. Place biscuits, chocolate-side up, on prepared trays. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until chocolate has set. Place remaining melts in a small microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%), stirring with a metal spoon halfway through, for 1 minute or until melted and smooth. One at a time, dip uncoated side of biscuits in chocolate to coat, allowing excess chocolate to drain off. Return to tray, melted chocolate-side up. Refrigerate for 10 minutes or until chocolate has set.
  • Step 3 Using a small sharp knife, trim the short ends off each lolly banana and discard. Cut bananas into 26 x 5mm slices. Cut each slice into small triangles to form beaks.
  • Step 4 Cut 5mm from 1 edge of each biscuit (this helps the penguins to stand up). Place reserved melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%), stirring with a metal spoon halfway through, for 30 seconds or until melted and smooth. Using the picture as a guide and a little melted chocolate, attach BB’s balls and Raffaello halves to biscuits. Hold until secure. Using a little melted chocolate, attach bow ties to 12 biscuits. Hold until secure. Using a little melted chocolate, attach beaks and 2 candy eye balls to each biscuit to form faces. Hold until secure. Stand for 20 minutes or until chocolate has set. Serve.
