Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 4 thick slices white country loaf or ‘toast’ bread
  • 4 tablespoons Obela Classic Hommus Spread 375g
  • 140g thinly sliced leg ham
  • 20g baby spinach
  • 2 roma tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices cheddar

Method

  • Step 1 Place the eggs in a saucepan and cover with cold water. Bring to the boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 5-7 minutes for hard-boiled or until cooked to your liking. Drain and cool under cold running water. Peel. Thickly slice.
  • Step 2 Preheat a sandwich press. Spread 4 slices of bread with 1 tablespoon Obela Smooth Classic Hommus each. Divide the spinach, egg, ham, tomato and cheese between 2 slices. Season well. Cover with remaining slices, hommus side down.
  • Step 3 Place in the sandwich press. Close lid and cook for 1-2 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Cut in half to serve.
